Wedding Design Trends in 2016
Abby and I were in Las Vegas for the Wedding MBA Conference in September and we learned a lot! We wanted to take a few minutes to let everyone know what to expect in colors, textures, flowers, and themes.
But before I get in to all of that. Let’s take a minute to toot our own horn… TOOT TOOT! Our design team is already encouraging our new couples to utilize some of these ideas. We are constantly looking for inspiration, we are communicating with our clients on social media, and we are helping guys and girls in our area design some of the most amazing events. Don’t believe me? Well I’ve got proof. Here are 3 trends you will see in 2016… and here a few pictures of what we have already done!
You will see lots of greenery this year. A few years ago, we heard most our clients saying… NO GREENERY. And we listened… because that is what good florists do. But lately we have been pushing back and encouraging more and more of our couples to use greenery. And not as an accent, but as a primary part of their decor. You will see it this year in garlands, table runners, and arbors in a big way. And if you follow us on Facebook, you would have already seen these in our spring and early summer weddings. Yep… TOOT TOOT!
Gold, silver, rose gold, and copper elements have been accenting wedding designs for a while now and we only see that trend growing in 2016. Expect to see gold candelabras, silver charger plates, and copper colored vases all used in the same wedding design.
The metallic look can even be used in your wedding flowers. We have been painting accent leaves used in arrangements with silver paint. We have cast a rose gold shade on babies breath used in bridesmaid’s bouquets.
Dramatic hand tied bouquets…
Wedding blogs are bursting with dramatic bouquets these days. Get ready for whimsical, full bodied, hand tied bouquets. These have the drama of a cascading bouquet, the organic shape of a country chic bouquet, and elegance that comes with a rounded bouquet.
These bouquets were made for brides who were willing to let us get creative.
We have already broken our company record for wedding bookings in one year. We can’t wait to work with all of this year’s couples!
